Grundy Family Veterans 2018
Dear Grundy Parents,
When Francis Scott Key wrote the “Star Spangled Banner” almost 200 years ago, he called America “the land of the free and the home of the brave.” Those words are as true today as they were back then. Throughout this Nation’s history, America’s soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines, and coastguardsmen have bravely answered the call to defend our freedom, to aid our friends and allies, and to turn back aggressors. With Veterans Day fast approaching, we would like to honor America’s veterans for their service to our country. If you would like the veterans in your family (living or deceased) to be recognized on our website, please email the veteran’s name, relationship to your children, and branch of service to email@example.com
Example: Carl Saunders, Caleb and Joshua Saunders’ grandfather, US Navy
To view our current listing of Grundy family veterans, go to http://grundy.morton709.org/
Please join us on Friday, November 9th at 2:00 in the new Grundy gymnasium for a very special Veterans Day Ceremony. All veterans who attend the ceremony will be recognized. We encourage all staff, students, and parents to wear patriotic red, white, and blue.
Michael J. Saunders
